Do You Need a Visa for the UAE? Check Your Country

It depends on your nationality. Citizens of more than 90 countries need a UAE tourist visa and can apply for it online as an eVisa. Nationals of the GCC enter visa-free, and around 50 nationalities, including the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, Japan and Singapore, get a free visa on arrival and do not need an eVisa.

Most nationalities across South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East outside the GCC, Africa, Central Asia, and parts of the Americas and Europe need a pre-arranged eVisa. Nationals of around 50 countries receive a free visa on arrival for 30 to 90 days, including the United States, United Kingdom, all EU and Schengen states, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. They do not need to apply for an eVisa in advance.

Since June 2026, eligible nationals of Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Kenya and South Africa can get a visa on arrival if they hold a valid residence permit or visa from the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore or South Korea. Indian passport holders have a similar facility. Without a qualifying permit, you apply for the eVisa.

Some nationalities, such as Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, South Sudan and Niger, face restrictions or extra security checks, and a few are currently barred. Contact us on WhatsApp and we will confirm your eligibility before you pay or book travel.

GCC nationals enter visa-free. GCC residents who hold a non-GCC passport may qualify for a paid visa on arrival based on their profession, though this is discretionary. If you are unsure, applying for an eVisa is the safest route, and we can advise you.

Pricing is all-inclusive in US dollars with the government fee included. A 30-day single-entry eVisa starts at $229, and a 60-day starts at $359, with faster processing and multiple-entry options costing a little more. You always see the final price before you pay.

You choose the speed: Standard within 12 working days, Priority within 9, and Express within 6. Times exclude weekends and UAE public holidays and start once your complete application and payment are received. We advise applying at least 15 days before travel.

A passport valid for at least 6 months, a recent colour photo with a plain white background, a confirmed onward or return ticket, and your accommodation details. No embassy visit and, for standard tourism, no bank statement is required.

Yes. Every traveller, including infants and minors, needs a separate eVisa application, even if the child is on a parent's passport. In some cases a birth or marriage certificate may be requested to confirm the relationship.

Yes. The UAE tourist eVisa is valid across all seven emirates, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, so you can travel freely between them during your permitted stay.
