Dubai Visa FAQ for Egyptian Citizens
Real questions from Egyptian applicants, answered
Yes. Egyptians are not eligible for visa on arrival, so you need a UAE tourist eVisa before you travel. It is fully online, with no embassy visit.
For a standard tourist eVisa you do not upload a bank statement, but officers can ask about funds. As guidance, travellers are often expected to show access to around AED 3,000 for the trip. We advise you before you apply.
No. A tourist eVisa does not allow paid work or job hunting as an activity. We are upfront about this so you choose the right route.
Prices start at $229 all in. The amount in Egyptian pounds depends on your card exchange rate on the day, since payment is processed in US dollars.
Yes. Many Egyptians use the tourist eVisa to visit relatives in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah. You can list their address as your accommodation.
Extensions can be possible depending on the visa type. Contact us before your visa expires and we will explain the options and costs.
We offer three speeds for Egyptian applicants: Standard within 12 working days, Priority within 9, and Express within 6. Times exclude weekends and UAE public holidays and start once your complete application and payment are received. From Egypt, we advise applying at least 15 days before you travel.
Yes. Every Egyptian traveller, including infants and minors, needs a separate eVisa application, even a child included on a parent's passport. In some cases, for Egypt applicants, a birth or marriage certificate may be requested to confirm the family relationship.
Your approved eVisa arrives as a PDF by email and is also available from your visa portal. For Egyptian travellers we recommend carrying a printout for airline check-in and on arrival, with a copy on your phone as a backup. This applies to every eVisa issued for Egypt.
You must leave the UAE before your permitted stay ends. Since February 2026 the grace period has been removed, and a fine of AED 50 per day accrues from the day after your stay expires, so Egyptian travellers from Egypt should plan the departure date carefully.
