What Your Passport Needs
Your passport is the document UAE immigration checks against. Make sure it meets these three conditions before you apply.
Valid 6+ months
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into the UAE. If it expires sooner, renew it before you apply.
Clear, machine-readable page
Upload a sharp image of the photo page with your details and the machine-readable zone fully visible. Both an MRP and an e-passport are fine, but handwritten passports are not accepted.
Same passport, start to finish
Apply on the passport you will travel with, and enter the UAE on that same passport. Dual nationals should use the passport of their eligible nationality.

Sample only. Every zone in your upload must be sharp and unobstructed: your photo, all printed details, and the two machine-readable lines at the bottom.
We validate every file before submission
Upload your passport and our built-in reader captures your details and auto-fills the form, so there is less to type and fewer mistakes. Our team then checks your photo and passport against the UAE specification, and if anything is off we message you on WhatsApp to fix it before it reaches immigration. That pre-check is a big reason the applications we handle run around a 98% approval rate.
Two-minute guide
How to Take the Photo With Your Phone
No photo booth needed. A plain wall and good daylight are enough.
Find a white wall
Stand about half a metre in front of a plain white or light wall, with no pictures, switches or shadows behind you.
Use soft daylight
Face a window so the light is even across your face. Avoid direct sun, overhead shadows and harsh flash.
Have someone shoot it
Ask another person to take it at eye level from a step back. A selfie distorts your face, so avoid it.
Check and upload
Neutral face, eyes open, mouth closed, no glasses, no filter. Upload it and we validate it against the UAE spec before submission.
Quick answers
Photo & Passport Questions
The details travellers ask about most.
Provide a recent colour photo taken within the last 6 months on a plain white background, showing your full face from the front with a neutral expression, eyes open and mouth closed. Your head and the top of your shoulders should fill about 70 to 80% of the frame, with no other people or objects, and no heavy shadows, filters or glare. The standard size is 43 by 55 mm, uploaded as a JPEG or PNG between 200 and 600 KB.
Glasses should be removed, as reflections or tinted lenses are a common cause of rejection. A head covering is acceptable only when worn for religious reasons, and even then your full face, from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead, must remain clearly visible.
Yes. A phone photo is fine as long as it is sharp, well lit and taken against a plain white wall with your face centred and filling most of the frame. Ask someone to take it rather than using a selfie, keep the camera at eye level, and avoid filters. We validate the photo against the UAE specification before submission.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into the UAE. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying, because the application will not be approved on a passport with insufficient validity.
Your passport must be machine-readable, so both a valid machine-readable passport (MRP) and a biometric e-passport are accepted. Handwritten or badly damaged passports are not accepted for a UAE visa.
Your passport should be undamaged with a clean, fully readable photo page. Your photo, personal details and the two machine-readable lines at the bottom must be clear in your upload, with no glare, no fingers over the text and nothing cut off. Renew first if yours is torn or heavily worn.
Apply with, and travel on, the passport of your eligible nationality, and enter and leave the UAE on the same passport you used to apply. Your eligibility and visa are tied to that passport, so keep it consistent from application through entry and exit.
No. When you upload your passport, our built-in reader captures your name, passport number, date of birth and expiry, and auto-fills the form for you. You simply confirm the details are correct, which speeds up the application and cuts down on typing errors.
Before we submit your application, our team reviews your photo and passport against the UAE specification. If something is off, such as a coloured background or a cut-off photo page, we message you on WhatsApp to fix it. This pre-check is a big reason the applications we handle run around a 98% approval rate.
