Why Armenian Travellers Choose Dubai

For Armenians the UAE means family, trade and a sunny break. Here is what draws them.

A Long-Established Community

Several thousand Armenians live in the UAE, mostly around Sharjah and Dubai, with a church, a school and a business community. A tourist eVisa is the easy way to visit relatives.

The Diamond and Jewellery Trade

Armenians have deep roots in the diamond and jewellery trade, and Dubai DMCC is a global hub, so many trips combine business with family.

Winter-Sun Family Holidays

A three-hour nonstop flight and a Russian-speaking city make Dubai an easy, comfortable family holiday in the cooler months.

Dubai Visa FAQ for Armenian Citizens

Real questions from Armenian applicants, answered

Yes. Ordinary Armenian passport holders need a pre-arranged UAE tourist eVisa. A visa-waiver agreement was signed in 2023 but is not yet in force for ordinary passports, so do not rely on visa-free entry.

An agreement was signed in September 2023, but as of now it applies only to diplomatic passports and is not in force for ordinary travellers. We confirm your current status before you book or fly.

A passport valid at least six months, a recent photo, a return or onward ticket and your accommodation details. If you are visiting family, their address helps.

For Armenian applicants we offer Standard within 12 working days, Priority within 9, and Express within 6. We advise applying from Armenia at least 15 days before you travel.

Yes. Every Armenian traveller, including minors, needs a separate eVisa application on their own passport, even a child listed on a parent's passport.

Payment is in US dollars with any major card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, so the dram amount depends on your card rate on the day.

Your approved eVisa arrives as a PDF by email and is also available from your visa portal. For Armenian travellers we recommend carrying a printout for airline check-in and on arrival, with a copy on your phone as a backup. This applies to every eVisa issued for Armenia.

You must leave the UAE before your permitted stay ends. Since February 2026 the grace period has been removed, and a fine of AED 50 per day accrues from the day after your stay expires, so Armenian travellers from Armenia should plan the departure date carefully.

No. UAEVisaOnline.ae is a private visa-assistance service operated by Travel Rox, Inc., not affiliated with the UAE government. Armenian travellers may also apply directly on the official portal at a lower cost.
