Frequently Asked Questions

Dubai Visa FAQ for Jamaican Citizens

Real questions from Jamaican applicants, answered

Yes. Jamaican passport holders are not eligible for visa on arrival, so a UAE tourist eVisa must be arranged before travel. It is fully online and arrives by email.

A passport valid at least six months, a recent photo, proof of accommodation and proof of onward or return travel. We tell you if your case calls for extra proof of funds.

There is no nonstop service. Trips usually connect through London or Toronto, though new Caribbean links are improving connectivity, so allow for a layover.

For Jamaican applicants we offer Standard within 12 working days, Priority within 9, and Express within 6. We advise applying from Jamaica at least 15 days before you travel.

Yes. Every Jamaican traveller, including minors, needs a separate eVisa application on their own passport, even a child listed on a parent's passport.

Payment is in US dollars, so the Jamaican dollar amount depends on your card rate. Any major card, Apple Pay or Google Pay works.

Your approved eVisa arrives as a PDF by email and is also available from your visa portal. For Jamaican travellers we recommend carrying a printout for airline check-in and on arrival, with a copy on your phone as a backup. This applies to every eVisa issued for Jamaica.

You must leave the UAE before your permitted stay ends. Since February 2026 the grace period has been removed, and a fine of AED 50 per day accrues from the day after your stay expires, so Jamaican travellers from Jamaica should plan the departure date carefully.

No. UAEVisaOnline.ae is a private visa-assistance service operated by Travel Rox, Inc., not affiliated with the UAE government. Jamaican travellers may also apply directly on the official portal at a lower cost. For applicants from Jamaica, our fee covers a simplified application, expert document review, error prevention, photo validation, tracking and dedicated support.
