Dubai Visa FAQ for Ugandan Citizens
Real questions from Ugandan applicants, answered
Yes. Ugandan passport holders need a pre-arranged UAE tourist eVisa. A diplomatic and service passport waiver introduced in 2026 does not apply to ordinary tourist passports.
There have been reports that issuance for some East African nationalities has tightened since late 2025, though this is not officially confirmed. We always verify the live status and review your case before you pay, so you never apply for something that cannot succeed.
A clean immigration history, clear documents, proof you can support your stay, and strong ties to Uganda all help. We review your file against these points before submission.
Often yes. We advise exactly what to prepare for your profile so a weak or missing document does not cause a refusal.
Choose Standard within 12 working days, Priority within 9, or Express within 6, once issuance is confirmed for your case. Apply early where possible.
Payment is in US dollars, so the shilling amount depends on your card rate. Any major card, Apple Pay or Google Pay works, and we send a secure link if a card is declined.
Yes. Every Ugandan traveller, including infants and minors, needs a separate eVisa application, even a child included on a parent's passport. In some cases, for Uganda applicants, a birth or marriage certificate may be requested to confirm the family relationship.
Your approved eVisa arrives as a PDF by email and is also available from your visa portal. For Ugandan travellers we recommend carrying a printout for airline check-in and on arrival, with a copy on your phone as a backup. This applies to every eVisa issued for Uganda.
You must leave the UAE before your permitted stay ends. Since February 2026 the grace period has been removed, and a fine of AED 50 per day accrues from the day after your stay expires, so Ugandan travellers from Uganda should plan the departure date carefully.
No. UAEVisaOnline.ae is a private visa-assistance service operated by Travel Rox, Inc., not affiliated with the UAE government. Ugandan travellers may also apply directly on the official portal at a lower cost.
